Family rule fail

At MOPS mom shared about one of her family rules "if you hit, you sit."

Keillan (18 months) continues to hit Emory for no reason. So we try the rule out.  He hits Emory I make him sit and sign sorry.  He stands up hits again I sit him down and make him sign sorry.

He stands up hits, sits himself down, signs and says sorry with a huge smile (he had perfected the hit and sit rule-but not what I had in mind). He continues to hit, sit, say sorry and adds clapping for himself bc he did all the steps.......

He's picked up and redirected bc this is clearly not working.

Next day he throws a toy we say no throw; he sits says sorry and claps....  Outwitted by a year and half year

Someone put bouncy beans in me.

Mommy you didn't hear me yawn. I drank it up and swallowed it. See I'm not tired!

Emory is excited friends are coming over. Mommy I'm going to have to clean my room and that is A LOT of cleaning! But you'll have to clean the living room...

I can't wait till I pee as much as a grown up.

J: singing if you're happy and you know it to keillan. 

Emory: if you're happy and you know it show your butt.

Mommy I can watch tv while you nap on the couch. 

Jesus says it's okay to throw chairs. 

My airplane is watching out for grizzly bears and stampedes.

18 month check up

Today we went to a new peditrician practice. A huge practice but we needed a change after last place...

Keillan blew kisses to the doctor the entire time his heart and lungs were checked. So funny and sweet! After going over all his medical history the doctor asked basic questions.  One being if we were afflicted with any churches or religious activites. After saying yes  I asked him where his kids went to school.  He said Bethany academy (a private Christian school we are considering). Cool to chat about it a bit. 

At the end he asked if I would want him to PRAY for keillan. So he prayed for keillan in Jesus name! So awesome

Crazy unexpected and good for my heart after spending hours at genetics on Monday.

Basically keillans weight is good for his height, but his height is off the charts & the main reason genetics is searching for answers. So for now we have a peanut almost 20lbs and under 30" :)

This is for our records and may be incredibly boring for my maybe 3 readers:)

Little medical journal so we can have this for future reference--we keep getting important family medical history after we leave the specialty doctors (so with this hope this won't happen for our boys:)). P.s. We think Keillan is incredible and is developmentally doing awesome!

Born with a moderate size VSD and PDA.  Needed high calorie formula first 6 months
       -VSD got smaller is now 2 mm at 12 months

Has a Pectus excavatum (chest wall deformity). (Not a biggie:))

Had right hip dysphasia (hip click) that became normal with growth and no interventions)

Had a left inguinal hernia repaired (September 2012)

Had bilateral ear tubes placed after multiple ear infections (February 2013)

Had large fontal soft spot.  Ultrasound confirmed no problems in brain

Has a bifid uvula and sub mucous cleft palate.

Genetic testing: full chromosomes, growth hormone, thyroid-- all normal
Currently being tested for Robert silver syndrome and bone age delay

Emory brings laughter

Emory goes potty during dinner. He comes back with no shirt. Where's your shirt Emory?

Em: it got wet

Em: I fell in the toliet
