One of the huge blessings of being a part of the Interim Manager program is the great people you get to meet and work with. These past two months we have been assigned with another IM, Mark and his wife Laura. So we have been hanging a bunch and Emory has become pretty comfortable around them. During dinner tonight Emory is eating and being social when he looks at Laura and asks "Do you like Jesus?"
She responds back that she loved Jesus and asks if he did. Emory states matter of fact "Yes, I love Jesus."
We laughed and were amazed at the boldness of our three year old. If only our boldness and faith could come as easily as our children; maybe we could make a bigger difference in this world.

Backwards eating
I remember being a kid and not wanting to eat anything green or even remotely looking like a vegetable. Well, our son is backwards. I never, as a parent, thought I would see myself hiding the peas so that he would eat the main dish. Here is a picture of Emory taking over the peas, I let him have my portion and I had chips...taking one for the team. The randomness of of being a dad.
iPad envy
Today after Reid left for work Emory asked:
"Mommy can we look at the iPad?"
"No Emory, I don't have an iPad, daddy took it to work."
"Oh, daddy needs to share with everyone."
Oh kids and their technology.

Emory says...
After reading David and Goliath Emory says "daddy I want a GIANT hug" :)
He has a thing for giants... Our first grocery shopping trip in Pittsburgh to Giant Eagle he asks if we could bring home a giant. We said no we do not have room in
our house... His response then maybe a small giant!

Keillan 4 weeks

| Keillan 4 weeks old |
At 4 weeks our little peanut weighed in at 7 lbs 3 oz (4.62%)... but he has such long legs that last night after I put his newborn pjs on I noticed he couldnt stretch out his legs... this is a new problem in our house :)
Keillan is a really chill baby so far... he wakes up just once at night to eat. He sleeps A LOT but only in his car seat... he will not stay settled in his bed or ends up spitting up through his nose (grossness). he likes looking around and Emory likes to be in his face so he always has someone to look at:). So far he HATES tummy time. Keillan is a big cuddler (something else new in our house)
So thankful for our two boys!!! We are in love!

Story Time
As Jamie and I sit in the family room watching the Olympics, Emory walks up and looks at us. We continue to watch the tv like awesome parents because it was probably some amazing event like the trampoline (yes a legit event). And we then have the following conversation:
Emory: are you listening?
No response from us (don't judge)
Emory: Mommy Daddy are you listening?
Jamie: yes baby
Emory: I want to tell you a story
Us: ok go ahead
Emory: Once upon a time there was mommy and daddy, the end.
I am just saying JK Rowling, watch out.
