Snow days

We got our first snow that accumulated enough to play in. Emory loves the snow and could play all day! However, keillan did not like it one bit. 

Keillan 17 months

Keillan is now a climber and a hand in the toilet bowl all day toddler. (I now get why they sell toliet bowl locks...) 

We got incredible news that his genetic chromosome testing & growth hormone came back normal!! Praise be to God!

His new words are "hey daddy and cheese":)

Keillan is such a joy! He is funny silly and super spoiled! He cries every night in his bed so he can come snuggle with us for a long while. He also points, signs please and whines if he wants something. He will go get a pedisure point to his bottle and run to the couch to wait for his bottle... Told you super spoiled!

After thinking for a minute it will be called target. ( go figure)

J: how about Emory's grocery store

Aye aye mommy good idea!

Keillan has mastered the art of getting what he wants without using any words...

Example:

He comes up to me sitting on the couch and pulls my blanket off my legs and whines. I get he wants to take me somewhere.  I follow him into the kitchen he opens the pantry door and grabs a pedisure and signs please. Smart kiddo:)

Emory recent sayings...

Emory wanted to know our thanksgiving meal. When I told him pumpkin pie he says matter of factly that he wants blueberry pie. (He's had neither)

Mommy I want Jesus in my life so I won't go to hell... For hours I thought he said jail.

Mama I won't to lose a tooth so my favoritist tooth fairy can come and leave something new under my pillow.

Emory:Can that girl from Colorado come here. 

Do you mean Peyton from Pittsburgh?Emory: yes me and Peyton will go to the petting zoo and feed llamas. 

I met a new friend at school her name is Brooke. But she's 2 she doesn't talk 

(Found out she's just shy .. And 4)

Emory: Keillan pu you stink.

 Me: I'm going to take keillan up and change him.

Emory begins a song and dance: get it out baby get it out baby... :)

Late night snuggles

Sweet keillan has refused to go to sleep till 10pm each night. He wants lots of snuggles.

Halloween 2013

Emory has been SO excited about Halloween all month! We went to a local mall that did a trick or treat event. Emory loved it; Keillan was not impressed one bit:).

They are at a age that getting good photos seems impossible- they both move a Lot!

Kid likes junk food

Baby boy only eats and I mean only eats goldfish macaroni and cheese crackers and various other snacks... Most other foods are quickly thrown to the floor.

He owned his first ice cream cone. You try to take baby boys ice cream away you might get punched....

Sweet baby boy is 15 months

Keillan copied Emory saying "daddy" then a few moments later he said "mommy" for the first time! 10/3. A week ago he started saying "Em" for Emory and moo for cow. He will copy us growling for a tiger.

Keillan started signing more for food consistently and in the last week learned please.

He walks all the time now. He loves to play with Emory and make him laugh. They love to either yell in the car or be sweet and giggle back and forth.

The last few nights after Keillan got his pjs on he has walked to his room and stood by his crib for bed. Cutest thing ever. Oh yeah Keillan sleeps in a crib now. No more pack n play:)

In the last few days Keillan has learned how to walk across the room.

How to go from a sitting position to standing and walking.

How to climb on the couch, sit down and eat Doritos without us noticing. (Sneaky)

How to throw tantrums. Including being faced down on the ground kicking....

All at 18 lbs 6 oz :)


He really took off walking at the park slide in this photo. He would climb up a little go down get to the edge and walk to his mommy :)

Keillan 14 months & pics from NC

Keillan started taking 2-4 steps at 13 months. He still prefers to crawl but occasionally will take steps:)

His words are still mostly mama,dada, hi and just recently what sounds like dog dog!

He started signing more in the past few days by clapping but prefers you to just feed him without him having to sign more...

You have dropped your morning nap. You now sleep in till 7:30:8am. Nap at 1 (length varies from 2-4 hours)... Bedtime 7-8 pm

You still take 3 bottles. 2 6 oz whole milk & 1 8 oz pedisure. Once we are settled in Minnesota we will begin to drop the bottle.

We have spent the last month in NC the longest Keillan has ever been in NC:). We have SO loved seeing friends and family! Such a treasured time!

Emory has some scrapes on his nose that I put cream on. He wakes up and touches it and says "it didn't work"

Recent Emory sayings, age 4

I think it would be a good idea for me to go to preschool today and have fun.

If I eat all my toast ill be 5. Then I can go bowling and throw the ping pong ball.

Momma Jesus made me big and strong and he made you big. 

Emory:I'm going to miss daddy a lot.

me: he's only gone 2 days. 

Emory: no he can go 4 days bc I am 4.

Me: Emory you are in timeout for 2 minutes. 

Emory: no 4 minutes!

Me:Emory you can go down the slide 1 more time.

Emory: but I'm 4.

He was playing with his monster trucks and having them become new best friends. (I guess he's done that a lot this year...)

Cow appreciation Day 2013

Keillans 2nd And Emory's 5th cow appreciation day!!!

Emory was SO into it. He wanted cow bells cow eyes and ears :). He settled with spots since that's all I could come up with! He actually came within 10 feet of the cfa cow-no more fear! Good timing for November:)
