So 3 weeks ago Reid gets a phone call from a Chick fil A business consultant asking if Reid is still interested in Minneapolis. Of course he said yes! They had selected all 4 operators but 1 candidate decided to back out at the last minute. So the next 2 weeks are crazy for us. We are advised to do a site visit so the next day we pack up and drive 12+ hours to Minnesota from our current interim manager assignment in Beavercreek, OH. By the time we get there we are too exhausted to drive around or more so the kids are so we go to the hotel. Keillan decides this is the night to scream and cry for hours... Thankfully Emory slept thru it since we are in a 1 bedroom hotel. So next morning we are worn out but go check out the area. Check out where the cfa will be built, homes, schools, churches, shopping etc. That evening we went to the mall of America and let Emory ride rides at the nickelodeon theme park in the mall... He had a blast! Next morning we drive back to Ohio. The following week he gets an interview in Ohio. Then it goes silent for a week. Then Tuesday July we get the call that they have selected Reid as the primary candidate and would like for us to come down for the final spousal interview.
Shock. Absolute shock set in. No way Reid was selected for this. No way.
We are so honored, humbled and grateful for this opportunity. So Mid September we will be moving 20 hours to Minneapolis, Minnesota to open a chick fila in November! So excited! So wild!
I included some pictures of our road trip to visit Minnesota, home visit so we could interview and our photo of yes Reid was selected on July 1,2013 to open the Bloomington, MN FSR in November!

Emory, age 4
Emory told us he wanted to be a doctor for kids when he gets bigger :).
When lizards cross the street they have to look both ways
Emory is going to his first Vacation Bible School this week. At lunch he asked me where Jesus is? Why he's there? Wheres Heaven at? Over and over. He then concluded that he (Emory) was going to heaven all week at VBS:).
He later was reading the story of Goliath and David. He sees Goliath laying down and ask if he's in Heaven...

Keillan 11 Months
One more month till baby boy is a year old. Crazy. Nuts. Cant believe it. Keillan has really started to learn to do big things this past month. He learned to get up on his knees all the time but then decided feet are much better! So he learned to climb a few stairs, pull up, stand up in his pack n play, crawl normally and quickly. He also LOVES to eat finger foods. He decided he will ONLY eat finger foods, so out with oatmeal, yogurt and any pureed food... only stuff he can do himself. He is still a super smiley baby. He says mama all day long and is a mommys boy for sure. But he does love his daddy and brother. He loves to play peek a boo. Twice while on vacation Keillan was holding onto the activity table and let go, whoa baby!
My new favorite picture of Keillan

Sweet keillan LOVED the beach, the sand.. but not the water. He scooped sand by the handfuls into his mouth (gross I know)...
Emory is 4!!!
My sweet loud wild strong willed boy turned 4! We enjoyed celebrating with Reid's family during a weekend at Topsail Island. Then we did cake with my parents in Greenville. Emory also had his first dentist appointment and his 4 year check up. That boy has gotten tall:)!
Emory loves to be outside and active all the time!!! He enjoys puzzles, books, cars, Legos, water play, baths, all things sports, the I pad etc. He naps 1.5-2 hours still. He is potty trained all day recently and 75% of time at night.

One more...
I love how my "big boy" still loves to cuddle. A lot.
A side note: I'm not allowed to call him baby anymore just big boy, Emory, Spider-Man when in costume and Dr. Emory :). He firmly tells me he's not a baby.
